The University of the Cordilleras (UC) commemorated its 80th Founding Anniversary, marking eight decades of academic excellence, transformative education, impactful research, technological innovation, and meaningful community engagement.
Anchored on the theme, “Inspiring Innovation, Leading Transformation, Sustaining the Future,” the anniversary celebration formally opened on June 26, 2026, with a commemorative program at the University Theatre.
In her anniversary address, UC President Dr. Nancy M. Flores outlined the University’s strategic direction for the decades ahead, introducing UC’s future-ready academic ecosystem through its Conventional and Non-Conventional Learning Pathways.
While the conventional pathway reinforces the University’s commitment to rigorous, discipline-based degree programs delivered through established academic frameworks, the non-conventional pathway expands opportunities for lifelong learning through flexible, learner-centered, and industry-responsive modalities.
The celebration also marked the official unveiling of the University’s 80th Anniversary Logo and Anniversary Anthem, alongside the opening of the Wall of Milestones of Excellence, a commemorative installation chronicling UC’s defining achievements and institutional milestones over the past eight decades.
