The University of the Cordilleras โ€“ College of Arts and Sciences, in collaboration with the UC Political Science Society, student organization of students enrolled in BS Political Science, successfully conducted the 2026 Political Science Student Research Colloquium (PSSRC) on June 13, 2026, at the UC Theater.

The colloquium brought together student researchers who presented the results of their scholarly work through oral research presentations, poster presentations, and academic discussions. The activity provided a dynamic platform for students to articulate research findings, engage in intellectual discourse, and receive constructive feedback from faculty members and peers.

Research presentations examined contemporary political issues across four major themes which were governance and public institutions; political participation and citizenship; regional and socioeconomic studies; and global and comparative politics.

Through the annual colloquium, the Department of Political Science continues to strengthen students’ research competencies while promoting critical inquiry, policy-oriented scholarship, and civic engagement.
