The University of the Cordilleras (UC), through its College of Criminal Justice Education (CCJE), presented significant developments on the Web-Based Crime and Operations/Operational Support System (WeBOCES) during the Police Regional Office–Cordillera Administrative Region (PRO-CAR) Strategy Review held on July 23, 2026.

WeBOCES is a collaborative research and technology initiative between UC and the Philippine National Police (PNP) aimed at developing a web-based platform that enhances crime data management, operational support, analytics, and evidence-based decision-making for law enforcement.

Representing the University were Dr. Ariel Nimo B. Pumecha, Vice President for Academic Affairs; Dr. Robino D. Cawi, Dean of the College of Criminal Justice Education; Dr. Nica D. Togana; and Ms. Lanie Toriao.

During the strategy review, Dr. Togana presented the project’s milestones, including progress on its research component, particularly the development of the survey instrument that will support the project’s data collection phase. She also outlined the succeeding implementation stages and projected timelines toward the completion of the system.

In response, Police Brigadier General Julio S. Lizardo, Deputy Regional Director for Administration, and Police Brigadier General Patrick Joseph G. Allan (Ret.), Chairperson of the Regional Advisory Group for Police Transformation and Development (RAGPTD), expressed their appreciation for UC’s continued commitment, technical expertise, and valuable partnership in advancing the initiative.
