Eight pre-service teachers from the University of the Cordilleras College of Teacher Education officially commenced their 30-day international teaching practicum and cultural exchange following an orientation and opening program at Chalermkwansatree School on July 6, 2026.

The UC delegates were formally welcomed by the school’s officials led by Dr. Piyachai Bhuchandithkul, Director of Chalermkwansatree School, marking the start of their overseas internship under the Southeast Asian Ministers of Education Organization (SEAMEO) SEA-Teacher Project. The flagship student teacher exchange initiative provides aspiring educators with authentic cross-cultural teaching experiences in Southeast Asia.

Running from July 4 to August 6, 2026, the practicum immerses the pre-service teachers in an international learning environment designed to broaden global perspectives, strengthen pedagogical competencies, and develop the intercultural, instructional, and professional skills required of 21st-century educators.
