The University of the Cordilleras officially opened its Research and Innovation Week on July 28, 2026, bringing together researchers, faculty members, students, industry partners, and academic leaders in a week-long celebration of research excellence, innovation, and collaboration.

The opening ceremony featured a keynote address by DOST- CAR RD Dr. Nancy A. Bantog, who emphasized the vital role of research in creating lasting societal impact. She encouraged researchers to pursue studies that extend beyond academic excellence by developing practical, community-centered solutions that respond to the evolving needs of society and industry.

Participants also explored the Research and Innovation Open House Exhibit, which showcased the University’s research, extension initiatives, and technology-driven innovations. The exhibit highlighted ongoing and completed projects that demonstrate UC’s commitment to transforming knowledge into solutions that benefit communities.

The event continued with research presentations, technology and innovation exhibits, capability-building sessions, and recognition programs that fostered collaboration, strengthened research capacity, and celebrated the achievements of UC researchers and innovators.
