The University of the Cordilleras, through its Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) Office, conducted a Basic Life Support and Foreign Body Airway Obstruction Management, Bandaging, and Splinting training for the third-rotation Main Campus CP1 interns of the College of Criminal Justice Education in July 2026.
The training focused on proper procedures for administering Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation and managing cases involving foreign body airway obstruction. It featured interactive discussions, with participants raising various emergency scenarios they may encounter while responding to medical incidents.
To reinforce the lessons, the interns participated in practical exercises and return demonstrations. During the morning session, they performed two-rescuer CPR, demonstrating the proper application of life-saving techniques. In the afternoon, they took part in a casualty management and transport simulation, applying their newly acquired skills in a realistic emergency response scenario.
