The City Government, led by Mayor Benjamin Magalong, commended Engr. Michael James Deus, a faculty member of UC College of Engineering and Architecture, along with BS Electronics Engineering students Leinz Bryle Tacderas, Mark Angelo De Guzman, Nigel Nadji Abaggue, and Jerry Gutierrez Jr., for their research initiative on an IoT-Enhanced Smart Parking Management System.

The recognition, presented during a ceremony at the Baguio City Hall grounds in January 2025, highlights the group’s innovative efforts to address urban parking challenges through advanced technology.
