Dhenzel A. Rosales, a Grade 12 Humanities and Social Sciences (HUMSS) student from UC Integrated School, won as Champion in the Ilocano Short Story Writing competition during the Provincial Eliminations of the University of the Philippines (UP) Namnama Sirib ken Saririt.

The event was held on January 11, 2025, at UP Baguio. Rosales’ victory earned him a place in the Regional Finals of the competition in Ilocos Sur.
