Dr. Christian T. Pascual of the College of Criminal Justice Education (CCJE) has recently been appointed as a member of the prestigious Career Progression and Specialization Program and Credit Accumulation and Transfer System (CPSP-CATS) committee of criminology by virtue of the Professional Regulation Commission resolution no. 1316 series of 2021.
The CPSP-CATS committees for each of the regulated professions were created to align the domestic qualification standards with the international qualifications framework. Hence, Dr. Pascualโs membership in the CPSP-CATS committee of criminology puts him in a strategic position to help enhance the recognition of the value and comparability of Philippine qualifications and to support the mobility of Filipino criminology students, workers, and professionals.
Among the factors considered in the selection of Dr. Pascual as the academic expert member of the CPSP-CATS committee are his extensive years of experience in the criminology discipline, remarkable educational attainment, scholarly works, and affiliation with the University of the Cordilleras which is designated as a Center of Excellence in criminology and a private higher education institution with an autonomous status.
