Architect Irene G. Florendo, faculty member of UC College of Engineering and Architecture, has been conferred the title of Fellow by the United Architects of the Philippines (UAP) College of Fellows for her outstanding contributions to architectural education.
Among the 16 conferred fellows, Ar. Florendo played a key role in founding the first Master of Architecture program in the Cordilleras and Northern Luzon. She also led the MSC Transnational Education Program, which enables overseas Filipino workers in the UAE to pursue advanced degrees while remaining employed.
She is a dedicated professor, researcher, and a strong advocate for international academic collaboration.
The UAP College of Fellows honors architects with exceptional service to the profession and organization, serving as role models and upholding the highest standards of practice and public service.
The conferment ceremony was held on April 10, 2025, at the SMX Convention Center during the UAPโs 50th National Convention.
