UC’s Director for the Institute of Teaching and Learning Office, Engr. Dionisio R. Tandingan Jr., has been appointed as a Commission Member of the Commission on Information Technology Education of the Philippine Accrediting Association of Schools, Colleges and Universities (PAASCU), serving from September 2025 to May 2027.

The appointment underscores Engr. Tandinganโ€™s growing national stature in quality assurance and outcomes-based education, particularly in engineering and information technology programs. He has been a PAASCU Accreditor since August 2023, actively contributing to institutional assessments and program improvements across the country.

In November 2025, PAASCU further recognized his work by conferring on him the James J. Meany Award, honoring his selfless commitment to Information Technology Education and advancing quality assurance in Philippine Higher Education.

Beyond PAASCU, Engr. Tandingan also serves as a member of the Commission on Higher Educationโ€™s Regional Quality Assurance Team (RQuAT) for Engineering and Information Technology Education programs, reinforcing UCโ€™s role in shaping standards-driven and future-ready curricula.

A respected leader in the professional community, he is a Founding Chapter President of the Institute of Computer Engineers of the Philippines โ€“ Cordillera Administrative Region (ICpEP-CAR), serving in FY 2017โ€“2019 and FY 2023โ€“2024. At the national level, he has held key posts in ICpEP, including Vice President for Education (FY 2017โ€“2019) and Vice President External (FY 2024).
