UCโs official student media and publication, The Alternative, secured the 3rd Runner-Up Overall Champion title at the 24th Regional Higher Education Press Conference (RHEPC), held in Baguio City from February 11 to 13, 2026.
Among 16 participating higher education institutions, The Alternative maintained its standing among the regionโs top student publications, reinforcing its presence in the competitive landscape of campus journalism in the Cordillera Administrative Region.
The publication placed 3rd in the cumulative scores for individual events and 5th in group events.
