10 interns from Baguio City National High School (BCNHS) successfully completed a one-day Basic Life Support, First Aid, and Fire Safety Crash Course in February 2026.
Conducted by UC Occupational Safety and Health Office (OSH) in partnership with the Center for Social Responsibility, the training marked the culmination of the internsโ work immersion program. Facilitated by UC OSH Officer Aristotle R. Carbonell and OSH Student Assistants, the course equipped participants with practical competencies in adult and infant CPR, management of foreign body airway obstruction, bandaging and splinting, rescue carries, and fire safety protocols.
All 10 interns passed the required return demonstrations, demonstrating foundational emergency response skills and reinforcing youth preparedness in community safety and disaster response.
