Students from the TVLโ€“ICT strand of the Integrated School brought honor to the University after winning the National Championship at the TekSummit: RoboQuest Competition in Quezon City on February 26, 2026. The teamโ€”Vhin Andreau F. Ilasin, Fharzan Anmel R. Dugat, and Hannah Coleen A. Hidalgoโ€”also received the Best SDG Impact Award for their project addressing real-world challenges aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.

Their project, โ€œDevelopment of a Smart, Sensor-Based Structural Integrity Monitoring System (SIMs) for Post-Seismic Activity Risk Assessment,โ€ uses sensors to monitor building vibrations and structural movement after earthquakes, enabling faster inspections and informed decision-making to enhance safety and disaster resilience.

Guided by adviser Mr. Earvin Posadas, the team competed against 17 schools nationwide, showcasing innovation, technical skill, and commitment to sustainable, technology-driven solutions. The achievement underscores the Universityโ€™s dedication to nurturing research, innovation, and community-focused initiatives.
