The UC Barristers Club, official student organization of the University of the Cordilleras โ College of Law, in collaboration with UC Project H.E.L.E.N., formally turned over donations to Furvent Animal Rescue and Advocacy on April 10, 2026, as part of their Law Week 2026 initiatives.
The donations, collected from law students, faculty members, and the public, highlight the organizationโs commitment to extending justice beyond the courtroom and into the community, particularly for animal welfare.
During the ceremony, Furvent founder Ms. Lovely Tuazon shared the organizationโs humble beginnings, emphasizing how it continues to operate despite limited resources through volunteerism and community support.
The partnership was further strengthened through the signing of a Memorandum of Agreement between the University of the Cordilleras, represented by Vice President for Administration Dr. Rhodora Ngolob, and Furvent.
Also present at the turnover were students from the UC College of Business Administration.
