Ar. Irene Florendo, UC-architecture faculty qualifies as one of the 3 Ph professors for University of Tokyoโs Summer Course on Smart Cities. A total of 30 international students from 11 countries, with UC and UP-Diliman representing the Philippines, have participated in the program.
The focus of the certificate training is on advanced practices of cities around Japan for the social implementation of sensing technology and urban transition. Topics include Advanced sensing technologies for urban flows, from image processing and laser radar to autonomous driving, as well as an overview of smart cities in progress in an attractive group of cities in Japan.
