The University of the Cordilleras is an institutional member of the Cordillera Local Infrastructure Learning Hub of the Department of the Interior and Local GovernmentโCordillera Administrative Region. The partnership follows the signing of a Memorandum of Agreement on June 3, 2026, by UC President Dr. Nancy M. Flores. DILG – CAR was represented by its Local Government Operations Officer III Mr. Rene Joshua Verdote.
UC serves as an institutional partner in the implementation of the DILG Infrastructure Audit Program, a standardized framework designed to assess the safety, functionality, and disaster resilience of public infrastructure. The University will further contribute to the initiative by providing technical assistance, implementing capacity-building programs, and engaging in research collaboration. It will also establish knowledge-sharing platforms and utilize harmonized audit tools and data systems to strengthen evidence-based infrastructure planning.
As part of the growing network of academic collaborators, UC contributes its expertise to help local government units enhance infrastructure audit systems across the Cordillera region.
