The University of the Cordilleras is an institutional member of the Cordillera Local Infrastructure Learning Hub of the Department of the Interior and Local Governmentโ€“Cordillera Administrative Region. The partnership follows the signing of a Memorandum of Agreement on June 3, 2026, by UC President Dr. Nancy M. Flores. DILG – CAR was represented by its Local Government Operations Officer III Mr. Rene Joshua Verdote.

UC serves as an institutional partner in the implementation of the DILG Infrastructure Audit Program, a standardized framework designed to assess the safety, functionality, and disaster resilience of public infrastructure. The University will further contribute to the initiative by providing technical assistance, implementing capacity-building programs, and engaging in research collaboration. It will also establish knowledge-sharing platforms and utilize harmonized audit tools and data systems to strengthen evidence-based infrastructure planning.

As part of the growing network of academic collaborators, UC contributes its expertise to help local government units enhance infrastructure audit systems across the Cordillera region.
