The University of the Cordilleras (UC) welcomed national board members and officers of the Private Schools Athletic Association for the 2026 PRISAA National Annual Planning Meeting on July 10 at the UC Theater, bringing together sports leaders from across the country to strengthen collaboration and advance collegiate athletics.
UC President Dr. Nancy Flores welcomed the delegates and highlighted the university’s 80-year legacy, from its humble beginnings to its 80th Founding Anniversary. She also underscored the achievements of UC student-athletes on the national and international stage and highlighted the university’s Inclusive Sports Program, making UC the first higher education institution in the Cordillera to offer such an initiative for differently abled student-athletes.
โDriven by discipline, agility, and precision, UC Wushu athletes execute every form with power and finesse, embodying the fighting spirit, competitive edge, and winning tradition of the UC Jaguars,โ Dr. Flores said, highlighting the remarkable achievements of UCโs Wushu student-athletes.
Hosted through the University’s Sports Development Office led by Dr. Danilo Cong-o, the event opened with a cultural welcome performance by the University Center for Creative Productions, showcasing the warmth and hospitality of the Cordilleras.
Dr. Cong-o, who also serves as President of PRISAA Cordillera Administrative Region, emphasized the importance of the annual planning meeting in fostering cooperation among member institutions and strengthening the future of Philippine private school athletics.
