The College of Criminal Justice Education (CCJE) of the University of the Cordilleras (UC) strengthened its research culture as it successfully conducted its 3rd CCJE Research Forum on July 10, 2026, bringing together criminology students, faculty members, researchers, and criminal justice professionals to explore research-driven solutions to contemporary challenges in public safety and justice.

Showcasing undergraduate and graduate studies, the forum provided a platform for emerging researchers to present innovative findings while engaging in critical discussions on pressing criminal justice concerns. The event further highlighted the role of research in translating evidence into practical interventions that can help build safer, more resilient, and better-informed communities.

Delivering the keynote address, SJO4 Caroline C. Chelnag emphasized the strategic value of research, technological innovation, and data-driven decision-making in strengthening public safety and criminal justice systems. She punctuated how evidence-based policies and sustainable interventions can empower communities and foster more responsive approaches to crime prevention and public protection.
