The University of the Cordilleras College of Nursing and Allied Health Sciences marked another research milestone as a team of student nurses successfully published their study in Discover Public Health, a peer-reviewed, Scopus-indexed journal published by Springer.
The article, “Trauma-Informed Mentorship in Early Clinical Exposure to Strengthen Nursing Care and Workforce Sustainability,” explores the value of trauma-informed mentorship during nursing students’ early clinical exposure. The study highlights how supportive and compassionate mentoring can strengthen students’ clinical competence, promote psychological well-being, and contribute to a more resilient and sustainable nursing workforce.
The publication was made possible under the guidance of research adviser Mr. Reuben Victor M. Laguitan, whose mentorship supported the student researchers throughout the study’s development and publication process.
