The University of the Cordilleras (UC) and the Commission on Population and Developmentโ€“Cordillera Administrative Region (CPD CAR), represented by Regional Director Reynaldo Wong, strengthened their partnership to create meaningful opportunities for learning, capacity-building, research, advocacy, and community engagement on August 3, 2026 at the University of the Cordilleras Conference Room.

The collaboration aims to promote adolescent health and development while advancing human capacity development and population-responsive programs that address the needs of communities in the Cordillera region.

Through the partnership, UC and CPD CAR seek to provide platforms where students, educators, researchers, professionals, and community stakeholders can work together in developing knowledge and initiatives responsive to emerging population and development concerns. These efforts may include educational activities, capability-building programs, research collaborations, advocacy campaigns, and community-based engagements.

The partnership recognizes the important role of academic institutions and government agencies in equipping individuals and communities with the knowledge, skills, and resources needed to respond effectively to social and developmental challenges.

With UC serving as a hub for education, research, and innovation, and CPD CAR contributing its expertise in population and development programs, the collaboration underscores a shared commitment to building healthier, more informed, and empowered communities across the Cordillera region.
