The Commission on Filipinos Overseas (CFO) paid a courtesy visit to the University of the Cordilleras (UC) on 29 July 2026 during the official visit of CFO Chairperson Dante โKlinkโ M. Ang II to Baguio City.
The courtesy visit provided an opportunity for the CFO and UC to exchange views on matters of mutual interest and discuss possible areas of cooperation in support of overseas Filipinos and their families.
The CFO, an agency under the Office of the President, is mandated to promote and protect the interests and rights of overseas Filipinos. During the meeting, the agency highlighted its role in serving as a link between the Philippine government and the Filipino diaspora around the world.
The discussion also explored opportunities to align the CFOโs initiatives with the priorities and programs of UC, particularly those that may benefit non-resident Filipinos and their families.
The courtesy visit likewise opened avenues for further dialogue between the two institutions and for the possible development of collaborative programs and initiatives in the future.
The meeting served as an initial opportunity for the CFO and the University to establish communication, identify areas of common interest, and explore potential collaboration.
