In November 2022, 164 youths from Baguio City, including students from the University of the Cordilleras, gathered for a “Youth Conference and Visioning Workshop.” This event, in partnership with the Local Government of Baguio City, aimed to empower youth to champion the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Participants delved into topics such as Climate Change, SDGs, and global warming targets. They also explored the role of cities in creating a sustainable future.

The event encouraged youth to share experiences, ideas, and opinions, fostering a collaborative environment. They discussed the city’s strengths, including its vibrant Arts & Fashion scene, and emphasized the need for transportation improvements.

With these insights, the youth envisioned a Baguio City thriving on sustainability and inclusivity by 2030. Their vision aligns with the UN SDGs, highlighting the critical role of youth in driving positive change and sustainable development within their city.
