295 student leaders, including officers of the University Student Council and representatives from various college councils as well as academic and non-academic organizations, formally assumed office during the Mass Induction held on November 29, 2025.
The ceremony gathered emerging leaders from across the University, marking the beginning of a new term anchored on service, accountability, and student representation. The induction highlighted the shared responsibility of student organizations in shaping a more inclusive, responsive, and participatory campus life.
The event was graced by activist and labor lawyer Atty. Luke Espiritu, who challenged the newly inducted officers to go beyond titles and positions. In his message, Espiritu emphasized that student leaders must act as catalysts for change, not only within the University but also in the national landscape, urging them to ground their leadership in courage, critical thinking, and genuine public service.
The Mass Induction supports SDG 4 (Quality Education) by reinforcing student leadership as a core part of holistic learning, SDG 5 (Gender Equality) and SDG 10 (Reduced Inequalities) through inclusive representation across diverse student organizations, and SDG 16 (Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions) by promoting democratic, ethical, and accountable student governance inspired by justice-oriented leadership. It likewise advances SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals) by strengthening collaboration among student councils, organizations, and external advocates in pursuing collective and transformative action within the University and beyond.
